BICARB – boosts your lactate tolerance

During intense physical activity, lactate is produced as a byproduct of anaerobic energy metabolism, leading to muscle acidification (acidosis). This acidification impairs muscle contraction and results in early fatigue. BICARB enhances the blood’s buffering capacity by neutralizing excess hydrogen ions responsible for lowering pH levels. The result is delayed fatigue and improved performance during anaerobic efforts. BICARB is especially effective for interval-heavy team sports and short, high-intensity running or cycling sessions.

BICARB is ideal for ambitious athletes and professionals looking to improve their lactate tolerance. It is taken in two phases before training or competition to allow sufficient time for absorption into the bloodstream. You can find the recommended dosage and timing in the usage instructions. For optimal stomach tolerance, we suggest combining BICARB with a drink mix like FAST CARB or POWER CARB. Ingredients

Sodium bicarbonate (EU and non-EU), coating agents (hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, gellan). May contain traces of egg white, soy, and milk.

1 capsule contains 1.0 g bicarbonate.
Dosage

The recommended dosage of bicarbonate is 0.2–0.3 g per kilogram of body weight. One capsule contains 1.0 g of bicarbonate. The optimal individual dosage can be calculated based on your body weight. The total dosage should ideally be taken in two phases: 60% of the amount about three hours before exercise, and the remaining 40% one hour before. We recommend consuming the first dose with your last meal, while the second dose is best taken with water or one of our Drink Mixes to improve digestibility.

Safety instructions

We would like to point out that the recommended consumption should not be exceeded. An overdose can lead to gastrointestinal complaints, nausea and water retention. Please keep the product out of the reach of children. This product is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
