GEL 40 NEUTRAL 1:0.8 is based on a ratio of glucose to fructose of 1:0.8.

The flavour of our GEL 40 NEUTRAL 1:0.8 has been developed to taste unobtrusive. This means that the gel can also be optimally combined with other products. We do not add artificial flavours and sweeteners, which also benefits the high stomach tolerance. However, we would like to point out that products in the 1:0.8 series always have a higher sweetness, as these products contain more fructose.

If you are aiming for the highest possible carbohydrate intake of over 100-110g / h, especially during long competitions, you should ensure that the products you consume contain a higher proportion of fructose in order to use both transporters on the intestinal wall (SGLT1 and GLUT5) effectively. Both transporters can absorb around 60 g / h, which is why fructose is of interest here. With smaller amounts of carbohydrate, the additional fructose intake does not play a decisive role.

For sessions where the need for fluids and carbohydrates is particularly high, GEL 40 NEUTRAL 1:0.8 can be ideally combined with POWER CARB HEAT 1:0.8 to ensure sufficient energy supply at high outside temperatures.
